Texas State Dietetic Internship

A Student-Centered MS/DI

We are a culturally inclusive, equity-focused program dedicated to preparing the next generation of nutrition and dietetics leaders through rigorous course work and unique supervised practice rotations.

Combined MS/DI Program

The internship is combined with the Master's of Science in Human Nutrition for a 22-month combined MS/DI. Program graduates are qualified to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Experience That Counts

Interns complete supervised practice rotations with clinical, community, and food service partners throughout Central Texas. Specialty rotations provide opportunities to explore pediatric nutrition, research, eating disorders, sports nutrition, and more.

How to Apply

For students interested in applying only to Texas State, the pre-select application deadline is January 15th. For those that wish to apply to multiple programs, the national DICAS application deadline is February 15th. Prospective students may apply using both application processes. Who We Are

Students in the MS/DI at Texas State learn from recognized experts in the field of human nutrition. Our faculty have a variety of expertise spanning molecular to community-based research.
