A variety of application options exist for individuals who wish to combine the master of science in human nutrition and the dietetic internship. Applicants are encouraged to contact the MS Coordinator or the DI Director to discuss their best option. Timing of application can affect how long it takes to complete the MS/DI, course enrollment, and financial aid eligibility.

Application Options

1. Apply for a fall start in the MS program by the January 15th deadline and apply to the DI as a pre-select.
Individuals who choose this option will be applying for either a fall (MS program) or Summer 2 (DI) start. Complete applications for both programs must be submitted by the posted deadlines. Applicants will be notified of the admissions decision for the dietetic internship by February 1.

2. Complete at least one semester in the MS program, and apply for the DI as a pre-select.
Individuals who choose this option, can apply to the MS program for either a Fall or Spring start. Once admitted, they must successfully complete at least once semester before applying to the DI as a pre-select. Individuals who are earning their verification statement at the graduate level would use this option to apply for the DI.
